Great Kids

Riley and Connor were very excited to get out of school early today. We have had a lot of snow and we are anticipating an ice storm today. We went home and then they worked really hard the rest of the day cleaning up and organizing their toys with us. They are all such great helpers. We sure are lucky to have them. We love to see those smiles. They are getting very excited for family to be coming to town. When we wrap a gift for someone, Megan asks "When will that person be here?" Then, when the doorbell rings she runs to the door saying "My friends are here." It is usually just a UPS delivery; soon it will be her friends. We look forward to seeing everyone that is able to travel our way for Christmas.

Happy 8th Birthday Connor!

We had a fun day at home for Connor's birthday. The boys played with all the new toys while Wyatt and I made meals and cake. The kids are growing up too fast. Connor will be baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints on Dec. 27. He is looking forward to that day. We appreciate all the gifts and those of you who were able to spend part of the day celebrating Connor's birthday. Happy Birthday Connor!!

Megan - My Entertainment

Megan is so much fun. She will use big vocabulary words correctly and we will just start laughing because it sounds funny coming out of a 3 year olds mouth. She wants to know what is so funny and then she starts laughing with us. She loves to dance to music and show off her things. You can see in the one picture she is showing her two Christmas trees. Connor gave her an early Christmas gift of a purple tree and she is loving life. The other picutres show what she does when I say smile. Then when I say open your eyes the smile goes away. She is working on getting the two of them down at the same time. We are so lucky to have a little girl. She adds so much to all of our lives.

Halloween at Disneyland

Disneyland was tons of fun. As you can see from the picture, Connor loved the more thrilling rides. Megan loved seeing the castle and trying all the different rides. She was a little disappointed when she could not go on certain rides. At first she would shade her eyes so she could limit what she saw. Riley was a little more careful about what he would ride, but in the end he LOVED every ride. It was so much fun watching the kids having so much fun. I wish we could do things like this more often. It was a real treat for all of us. We saw amazing firework shows each night from our hotel room balcony. We had a hard time adjusting to the time zone change and so we were up by 6:00 a.m. each day. I guess we made good use of our time there by getting up so early. Thank you Grandma and Grandpa Mike.

It's a Boy!

The ultrasound says it is a boy. The other pictures we have clearly show that part. This is a picture of his profile. It is amazing how much you can see with ultrasounds these days. We have another ultrasound in a month to make sure the parts that looked abnormal will be okay. We are all very excited for a baby boy.

Flag Football

Riley and Connor just finished playing flag football. They wished it was tackle at times. Riley has the ball in the second picture. All the other shots are of Connor trying to do some blocking or get another players flag. Connor had two touchdowns the last game. It is fun when they play sports because we enjoy going out to watch them play. We were glad they were on the same team this year so we could both be at all the games.

Baby Number Four

We are expecting our fourth baby!! Megan took this picture along with many others, but we'll only share this one for now. :) The baby is due on March 16th. We have an ultrasound next week and we do not like the anticipation so we are going to find out if it will be a boy or a girl if they can tell. Both will be a blessing for all of us. All of us are very excited. The kids have questions everyday about it. This baby decided it would be nice to have me experience the morning sickness thing. YUCK! It is finally over so needless to say that is why you are receiving this post.

Back to School

Riley and Connor are back in school. Riley started 4th grade and Connor started 2nd grade. So far they are enjoying it, but they do not like the new bedtime. They were enjoying their late nights during the summer. They both have really fun and energetic teachers. They are growing up way too fast.

Trying New Things

We are lucky this year to be able to try some new things. We planted corn for the very first time and so far it is doing really well. The rains flooded it a couple times this spring and summer, but it still grew up nice and tall as the pictures show. The kids want to run through it, but they just might get lost. The picture with Wyatt in it gives you a good idea how tall it is. We are excited to see how the yields turn out. The other thing we are trying is forage beans to make silage bales out of. That is the stuff the three kids are all standing together in. It grows like crazy. We are going to try cutting some within the next week if we can find a few dry days in a row. We are having lots of fun here and wish everyone could experience it with us.

Fishing With Daddy

Megan and Riley had a great time fishing with Wyatt. Megan loved to reel the fishing pole in especially if it had a fish on the line. She was pretty proud of herself. It is fun to see the boys getting older. Riley was able to catch and release his fish all on his own. At one point he jumped in the pond and tried to catch his cousin's catfish that got off the line before he could get it all the way in. As you can see he just got really muddy instead. They had a great morning fishing.

Happy Birthday Megan!

Megan turned 3 years old. We had a very fun pink party with the Grandparents and our friends the Grady's. Megan loved all the attention. She even got Grandpa to wear a princess crown as you can see in the picture. She is enjoying all of her new toys; thank you to all of her family and friends. We appreciate all of your kindness in making her birthday so special.

Mommy's Helpers

Riley, Connor and Megan helped me move the mineral feeders for the cows and fill them up. Riley is the muscles, Connor is the spotter, and Megan holds the lid up for me. They are so much fun to take around. They keep things very exciting. You can see Megan found a new type of grass that she wanted to show to me. They are all great helpers. They all want to drive so we take turns at each gate they trade. I'm so lucky to have each one of them. They are wonderful.

Happy 4th of July!!

All the guys had fun getting ready to shoot the cannon. It was so much fun we shot it five times over two days. It was a lot of fun having both Wyatt and my family here. We enjoyed the smoked pork our friends the Grady's worked so hard at all day long. It was very good. We are still eating it as leftovers. We had an amazing show that night as usual. We did not have any unexpected explosions so it kept things more peaceful. Of course the time went by way too fast. It left us wishing we could all spend more time together.

Start Blogging

This is us. Looks like I need to carry a camera with me and take more pictures. We are going to try this blogger stuff. I've been impressed by my sister-in-law's posts so I thought I would give it a try. We are looking forward to our families arriving for the 4th of July Celebration. It is always a blast with lots of excitement.
